Our Values
At Cowgirl Camp we believe the most fulfilling experiences are rooted in curiosity, vulnerability, and joy. We embrace stepping out of our comfort zones, getting dirt under our fingernails, and cultivating grit. We respect nature, and want to learn from her. We enthusiastically welcome a diversity of backgrounds and life experiences, of ages and ethnicities, and strive to listen to one another rather than change anyone’s mind. We leave politics at home in favor of sharing what we have in common. We believe in cultivating an atmosphere where you can discover answers you’ve been looking for.
COWGIRL CAMP is not:
-Suitable for people in the midst of crisis, addiction, or in severe distress. We do not have a licensed mental health counselor on our team. We reserve the right to ask you to leave camp if we feel your behavior is detrimental to the group.
-Suitable for people who are unable to hold safe space for those with differing opinions and outlooks, or who are unable to show up vulnerably with those around them.
-A hands on guide of how to enter the world of ranching. We won’t be roping live cattle, branding, or vaccinating. We may encounter some cattle and get to herd them, but the primary focus of this retreat is to reconnect with yourself, your horse, and your grit. You’re welcome to use the working cowgirls and ranchers on our team as resources, however!
-A cattle drive. Trail rides are approximately two hours long. We intersperse riding with other workshops and activities.
-Super fancy! Prepare to step outside your comfort zone. You’ll spend a lot of time outdoors. You’ll get campfire smoke in your eyes and dirt under your finger nails. The weather might throw us a curveball. We’ll send a packing list and help you be ready for everything.
